Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer II is a product development engineering role that will report to the Engineering Manager within the Critical Environments group. You will be a critical member of the team that develops and supports building automation system (BAS) products for critical spaces, such as room pressure controls, venturi air valves, fume hood controls, lighting control panels, and other adjacent products currently in development.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    1. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)

    2. 3+ years of relevant work experience as a mechanical engineer

    3. Able to apply engineering principles, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts to solve problems and created optimized designs

    4. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, good written and oral communication skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing situations

    5. Ability to write reports and convey detailed technical information

    6. High attention to detail and solid organizational skills

    7. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and MS Office
    1. The leadership of all mechanical design and re-design projects

    2. Ownership of drawing revision control and drawing maintenance in our ERP

    3. Ownership of drawing file storage, structure, and management

    4. Ownership of new part creation, management, and updating in our ERP and design software

    5. Ownership of BOM management in our ERP

    6. Ownership of receiving and implementing ECRs once they are approved and issuing ECNs

    7. Providing vendors with production files, drawings, and managing vendor relationships

    8. Supporting production team to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during NPI or production
